The new RiotBot is an advanced security robot especially designed for interventions in areas with a high degree of conflict and where the resulting conditions are not conducive to first person direct and frontal action of the personnel.

RiotBot is the result of an in-depth study of the conditions of security forces’ activities and the analysis of their safety deficiencies in particular interventions, mainly those that present physical risks to the intervention teams.

The aim of the RiotBot is double, on the one hand delete the risks that assume the operative teams and by another minimize the impact of the intervention by means of the utilization of a non-lethal weapon.

RiotBot employs a Pepperball TAC-700 carbine modified and adapted for safe use in the robot with a shooting velocity of 700 balls per minute and a total capacity of 450 PAVA balls, a non-lethal ammunition. This carbine can only be shot using a remote control, which makes it impossible for unauthorized people to use it.

With a speed of over 12 miles/hour and a weight of less than 40 pounds, it can be deployable and used quickly and safely by one operator.

It can continuously operate alone for over two hours. Furthermore, the compressed air recharging, the replacement of batteries and the reloading of ammunition can all be done in less than five minutes.

RiotBot has a totally ergonomic, light-weight remote control that controls the robot’s movement, and vertical and horizontal position of the gun turret that is mounted and shot from the carbine.

Best of all, RiotBot has a long-reach remote control system, especially developed for its application in operating at distances of over 1 mile.

The system can be operated either through direct viewing or through incorporated video equipment.

The camera has a 7” LCD monitor in the control unit for high-resolution image visualization located above the carbine. Similarly, it has audio equipment that facilitates the operator’s listening to far-away conversations.

All these reasons make the RiotBot the best option for any risky intervention that must be conducted by SWAT teams, Anti-riot Squadrons, Prison Supervision Units and Police Intervention Teams.
